Accenture Federal Services on Monday said it has agreed to acquire Cognosante, a provider of digital transformation and cloud modernization solutions for federal agencies.

Terms of the deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, were not disclosed.

Cognosante’s customers include federal health, defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. The company has capabilities in digital transformation, data and integration, managed services, customer experience, cybersecurity and privacy, and performance measurement and optimization. The Northern Virginia-based company has more than 1,500 employees.

“We are continually innovating and investing to help federal agencies stay ahead of the ever-changing needs of their mission and customers,” John Goodman, CEO of Accenture Federal Services, said in a statement.

Accenture Federal Services is a subsidiary of Accenture [ACN]. Accenture Federal has more than 14,000 employees.
