The private equity firm Admiralty Partners has acquired GMA Cover Corp., a small Canada-based firm that provides concealment products, aerial delivery, flexible fuel and water storage, vehicle soft-top systems and tactical soft shelters mainly to the United States Defense Department.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. GMA, which is headquartered in Ontario, has manufacturing facilities in Michigan and the Dominican Republic. The company has over 300 employees.
As a result of the acquisition, GMA has become a U.S.-owned company with a subsidiary in Canada, which will make it easier to expand access to the U.S. defense market, the company said.
Admiralty partners invests exclusively within the global aerospace, defense and federal information technology industries.
