Analytical Graphics, Inc., (AGI) on Nov. 3 filed a lawsuit against the Air Force over a contract award to Applied Defense Solutions (ADS) for space situational awareness (SSA) software and services.
The Air Force on Oct. 19 awarded ADS a one-year, $24 million non-governmental SSA services contract with two one-year options, according to Air Force spokeswoman Capt. Victoria Porto. The contract award came shortly after the Government Accountability Office (GAO) denied in part and dismissed in part a bid protest by AGI, where the company argued the solicitation (FA2550-16-R-8002) did not reflect the agency’s actual needs, was improperly set aside for small businesses and that the Air Force improperly designated the procurement as non-commercial.
The filing, Analytical Graphics, Inc., v. USA (No. 16-cv-1453), is in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. An oral argument is scheduled for Jan. 25 at the National Courts Building in downtown Washington.
AGI spokeswoman Stephanie Eftimiades declined to comment for this story.
