The Air Force has awarded Raytheon [RTN] a $386 million modification to an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for its Paveway family of laser-guided bombs.
The contract action provides a total package approach for Paveway-specific activities to include studies, production, certification, integration and sustainment, and the modification involves 100 percent foreign military sales to current Paveway customers or countries who have expressed interest in the system, per a Nov. 20 contract notice. The total value of the contract is now worth $496 million, up from $110 million.
Work will be performed at Tucson, Arizona; and Air Force test ranges. The Paveway weapon converts “dumb” bombs to precision-guided weapons.
