The Air Force awarded Lockheed Martin [LMT] two production contracts totaling $449 million for the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and the Extended Range (ER) variant, the company said on Jan. 9. The awards for Lots 11 and 12 will produce 340 JASSM missiles and 100 JASSM-ER missiles. The contracts are only the third and fourth lots to include the extended-range version.
