Airbus Challenges Passenger Recovery Plan Proposal

For long-range flights, it is better to avoid diversions by improving aircraft design than by developing and implementing costly passenger recovery plans, according to an Airbus memorandum obtained by ASW. The Feb. 11 document was written in response to a U.S. Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC) report on extended operations (ETOPS).
