Airbus Group’s defense business on Monday said it has agreed to acquire Germany’s INFODAS, which provides cybersecurity and information technology solutions to the defense and critical infrastructure markets.

Terms of the deal, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, were not disclosed. INFODAS has about 250 employees and annual sales of about $54 million.

Airbus Defence and Space said the pending deal supports the company’s goal to strengthen its cybersecurity portfolio for its customers worldwide.

“With exponential cyber threats, along with the increasing digitalization and connectivity of its products and systems, cybersecurity is a pivotal component of Airbus’ development,” Airbus said. “Over the last years, the group has continuously developed its cybersecurity capabilities and expertise, ensuring the best possible protection for its products, operations, customers, and ecosystem, including major programmes such as the Future Combat Air System.”
