Alenia North America this week changed its name to Alenia Aermacchi North America, reflecting a change in the name of its parent company, Alenia Aermacchi, which was formerly Alenia Aeronautica. Alenia Aeronautica changed its name following a merger between it and Alenia Aermacchi’s aeronautics brands. Both companies are part of Italy’s Finmeccanica Group.
