Altamira Technologies Corp. on Tuesday said it has acquired APG Technologies in a deal that deepens its customer relationships with the intelligence and defense communities and strengthens existing capabilities in data management and the cloud.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“APG’s focus on multi-intelligence analysis, mission management, and space situational awareness solutions provides an additional depth of offer as we serve today’s customers, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate Altamira’s emerging strategic thrusts as our customers transition to new cloud-based environments and advance our nation’s space and counter-space capabilities,” Jonathan Moneymaker, executive vice president and Chief Strategy Officer at Altamira, said in a statement.
Altamira said the acquisition of Northern Virginia-based APG strengthens its relationship with core customers, accelerates its geographic expansion to targeted adjacencies, and adds talented employees.
APG’s customers include the armed forces, intelligence community and Missile Defense Agency. It has core capabilities in high performance data management, private cloud engineering, and information assurance and cyber security.
Altamira, which is also based in Northern Virginia, has customers across the intelligence community as well as the armed forces, the Department of Homeland Security, NASA, the FBI and Department of Energy.
APG’s management will remain with the company. APG’s financial adviser on the deal was Rock Hall Partners.
