Federal technology services provider Applied Insight on Monday said it has acquired Zavda Technologies, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business that expands Applied Insights customer base in the national security space and adds expertise in systems engineering, security, data analysis, and software development in support of the intelligence community.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Applied Insight, which is backed by the investment firm Acacia Group, said the acquisition is part of Acacia’s strategy to build a strong cloud-centric product and professional services business serving the intelligence community.

Zavda’s core focus areas are help desk support, intelligence analysis, network management, language analysis, software development, systems engineering, and training.

The two companies have worked together for more than a decade, including establishing the Bravo Zulu Intelligence Solutions joint venture in 2018.

“The synergies between our organizations in technical expertise, customer knowledge, and employee-centric culture made joining forces a strong and easy fit and a natural evolution to our relationship,” Larry Denton, Applied Insights’ chief growth officer, said in a statement.

Zavda’s financial adviser on the deal was Monument Capital Partners.
