The Army has awarded Harris Corp. [HRS] a $217.7 million hybrid deal to continue maintaining and configuring its wideband satellite communications operational management system network, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.
Work on the latest deal is expected to be completed in July 2027.
“The Wideband Satellite Communications Operations and Technical Support II contract will support global networks and operations centers at 21 sites, providing operations and maintenance, life-cycle engineering, on-site technical assistance, equipment installation, depot-level repair, logistics, cyber security, and training and sustainment,” a Harris spokeswoman told Defense Daily.
Harris received its first contract to support the Army’s wideband satellite network in 2012.
Three bids were received for this latest contract, according to the Pentagon.
The Army obligated $7.9 million in operations and maintenance funds at the time of the contract award.
