The Army has awarded Kratos’ [KTOS] Unmanned Systems Division (KUSD) a $93 million deal for advanced subscale aerial drone systems and an unmanned target aircraft.
Funding for the deal, announced Tuesday, will be determined with each order and is expected to reach completion in December 2022.

“The receipt of this $93 million contract award for Kratos unmanned aerial drone systems is another important milestone in the successful execution of our strategy in building the leading high performance UAS Company in the world,” Kratos CEO Eric DeMarco said in a statement. “Over the past several years we have made significant investments to position Kratos as a leading technology and system provider in national security, and we expect additional important production program awards in the future as a result of these investments.”
Work will be conducted at Kratos’ manufacturing facilities, and the company’s unmanned systems division will also supply necessary ground equipment and spares.
