The Army is conducting a market survey to see what the level of interest is among qualified contractors in providing services to the current Stryker Family of Vehicles fleet.
Responses are due July 19.
General Dynamics [GD] is the original equipment manufacturer and provides support.
The Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) and the Project Management Office for Stryker Brigade Combat Team (PMO SBCT) at TACOM Lifecycle Command seek a single source to provide logistics and engineering support services to the current fleet of more than 3,000 Strykers; produce additional vehicles; provide logistics and engineering support for new vehicles; and provide spares for new vehicles.
The government wants a contractor that can demonstrate the best capabilities to meet the full production and operational support requirements for the work, the survey said.
A potential contract would be a five-year requirements contract with one option. It would include annual ordering periods covering fiscal years 2013 thru 2018.
The government expects to benefit from the “synchronization of process” associated with vehicle commonality, logistics, supportability and interoperability among the Stryker Family of Vehicles, the survey said.
Logistics support would include contractor logistics support, battle damage assessment repair, and reset.
Engineering support requires systems engineering support, and a systems integration laboratory.
Production and production support would involve required upgrades for the 10 Stryker production configurations to match revised performance specifications in preparation for deployment. The work includes support to government testing, support spares–providing initial and pipeline spares and supporting the authorized stock list.
The contractor would also provide new equipment training, fielding and deprocessing.
Additionally, the survey said the government does not have the Stryker Technical Data Package, which is not expected or necessary. And, the potential contractor would be expected to partner and support Anniston Army Depot.
As a market survey, information is subject to change, and it does not bind the government to a request for proposals or contract award.
