Army Details Payload Approach To Expand S-MET Inc. II Beyond Equipment Carrying

The Army has said it will look to “drive commonality” with the next iteration of its Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport (S-MET), as it aims to integrate payloads that expand the robotic platform beyond its equipment carrying role. Col. Kevin Bradley, director of the Next-Generation Combat Vehicle Cross-Functional Team, told reporters that the Army’s push to get after a multi-mission capability with S-MET Inc. II will focus on weapons and equipment packages that can enable mission areas for “movement to contact”…
