Army Seeks Sources for DE Capabilities to Neutralize VBIEDs

The Army is looking for the development of innovative Directed Energy (DE) capabilities to neutralize the Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) threat employed against U.S. and coalition forces anywhere in the world, especially Iraq and Afghanistan. By neutralize the Army means to pre-detonate IEDs or their subcomponents.
