Atlas Elektronik Completes Purchase QinetiQ’s Underwater Systems Business

Atlas Elektronik has completed its acquisition of QinetiQ's underwater systems business based in the United Kingdom that operates in the areas of hydro-acoustics, sonar, combat management systems, acoustic countermeasures, submarine signatures and control of unmanned maritime vehicles. The purchase was made by the United Kingdom business unit of Germany's Atlas Elektronik. Britain's QinetiQ still retains a range of maritime capabilities such as hydrodynamics and propulsion design, structures and survivability, an air cushion supported catamaran technology demonstrator, naval design, underwater ranges…
