Britain’s BAE Systems yesterday completed its acquisition of Denmark’s ETI A/S for $223.4 million, expanding its products and services in the areas of cyber and intelligence.
BAE first announced the deal last December. ETI had $66.2 million in sales for the 12-month period ended last June.
ETI provides law enforcement agencies and telecommunications providers with advanced diagnostic and data analysis products that are used in data crime investigations and trouble shooting data communications systems. The company has 260 employees and also has operations in Britain, the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
The acquisition is part of BAE’s strategy to grow its security services business in cyber and intelligence. The company acquired Detica in 2008, and recently acquired Australia’s stratsec.net, a provider of information security services and testing services, and the intelligence business of L-1 Identity Solutions [ID].
