BAE Systems Inc., the United States subsidiary of Britain’s BAE Systems, said on Wednesday that Tom Arseneault has been appointed the company’s new chief operating officer, succeeding Dave Herr who is retiring.
Arseneault will serve as a deputy to Jerry DeMuro, BAE Systems Inc.’s president and CEO, responsible for implementing the company’s operating plan. He will also manage BAE Systems Inc.’s four sectors, which eliminates the two executive vice president roles for managing the separate Products and Services sectors.
Arseneault, who has been with BAE for more than 10 years, most recently served as executive vice president of the Product sector, overseeing both the Electronics Systems and Land & Armaments business. He also led the Electronics Systems sector at one time.
Arseneault will continue to be a member of the BAE Systems plc, Executive Committee. The company said he will be important in helping to expand international growth.
