Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. [BLL] last week said it has acquired a prime contract from OGSystems, LLC, which supports the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
Terms of the asset purchase were not disclosed.
OGSystems, which is based in Northern Virginia, in 2010 was awarded multiple prime positions on the $1 billion NGA Total Application Services Enterprise Requirements (TASER) contract, which provides high-end mission analysis, systems and software engineering, integration and information technology services to the agency.
Ball already provided support to the NGA mission as prime contractor on the Air Force’s Advanced Tactical Exploitation Program, and is a subcontractor on the agency’s Innovision, NextView and EnhancedView contracts.
“Ball Aerospace is focused on strategic growth opportunities that expand the geographic and customer footprint of our intelligence and information services business,” Rob Strain, chief operating officer for Ball Aerospace, said in a statement.
Houlihan Lokey served as OGSystems’ financial adviser on the deal.
