Boeing [BA] has finished installing 10 remote video surveillance systems in the U.S. Border Patrol’s Detroit Sector under the Northern Border Project component of the Secure Border Initiative network. The installation enhances border surveillance capabilities along 37 miles of the St. Clair River, which is the border between Michigan and Ontario, completing work on the Northern Border Project. The project also includes five similar surveillance systems that Boeing delivered to the Buffalo, N.Y., Sector to enhance security along a 15 mile stretch of the Upper Niagara River. Each deployment consists of towers, cameras and sensors provided by Customs and Border Protection that were installed by Boeing and connected to sector headquarters.
