The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a potential $25 million contract to provide support services for the Intermodal Security Training Exercise Program (I-STEP), which involves the design, development, conducting, and evaluation of exercises and training in support of transportation security preparedness, response and recovery. The contract has a base period and four one-year options. The initial task order is for $3.2 million. Booz Allen will provide program management and support for strategic planning, budgets, policy analysis and transportation risk mitigation analysis. The firm will also provide exercise and training services for developing, conducting and evaluating transportation security exercise, support for exercising and evaluating new security technology and associated deployment plans and procedures, and developing training materials and standards for security preparedness.
