Aerosimulators USA, Inc. has received a $1.1 million contract from Customs and Border Protection for integrated mission system trainer/simulator and software upgrades.

L-3 Communications [LLL] has received an $826,468 task order from the Transportation Security Administration to provide algorithm development services in support of the agency’s fleet of eXaminer medium-speed explosive detection systems deployed at some of the nation’s airports. The order is part of planned FY ’16 technical and engineering projects potentially worth $17.6 million for L-3 to support the eXaminer EDS systems at airports.

Signature Science has received a potential six-month, $210,000 extension from Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology branch for additional support services related to the development dry-deposit trace explosive detection test standards solutions and methods for deposition. The initial independent research and development task requirement was to develop production, quality control, deposition, and characterization methods for explosive solutions in a solvent. The additional work will build on that requirement through operational verification of the necessary equipment and supplies to create the capability at the Transportation Security Laboratory for the production of trace explosives test standards.
