Customs and Border Protection has postponed its planned release of a solicitation for high speed rail inspection systems. The agency says it will provide an update to interested parties once a new release date has been identified.

The Federal Aviation Administration

, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection, plans to award a single source purchase order to Clear Align in support of the Remote Video Surveillance System Upgrade. The requirement is for thermal imaging cameras, thermal imaging systems, and pan/tilt units. The award will maintain the existing RVSS-U system under its current configuration.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has awarded a four-month extension to Economic Systems under the Cybersecurity Workforce Planning Program Office Support task order. The value of the award, which runs through Oct. 27, was redacted. CISA says that contractor support for the Cybersecurity Workforce Program is in the process of being recompeted and a new competitive task order will be awarded under the General Services Administration’s Human Capital and Training Solutions contract.

Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Air and Marine Operations plans award a contract to Boeing’s Jeppesen Sanderson business unit for 90 Aeronautical Flight Charts for Electronic Flight Bags. The charts will provide worldwide coverage of enroute and terminal charts, including airfields. The one-year contract will run through July 31, 2020.

CLEAR has hired Rod Allison, a former acting deputy administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, as its vice president of Operational Security. “Security has always been at the forefront of CLEAR’s mission and Rod has been on the front lines protecting the homeland his entire career,” says Howard Kass, executive vice president of Corporate Affairs for CLEAR. “His leadership and insight will be invaluable as we continue to deliver more efficient and secure experiences for our members and all travelers.” Allison has also served as director of the Federal Air Marshal Services, and acting chief of staff and acting chief of Operations at TSA.
