CBP Seeking Facial Recognition Cameras for Biometric Air Exit Testing

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a solicitation for cameras to be used in facial recognition testing as part of an ongoing biometric air exit pilot at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The requirement will be fulfilled through multiple FedBid solicitations posted on the Small Business track of the First Source II indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. DHS Office of Health Affairs Plans Industry Day for BioWatch Technology Enhancement

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Health Affairs and Science and Technology Directorate on Nov. 30 will host an Industry Day to provide additional information on the BioWatch program and technology enhancements requirement. The BioWatch Technology Enhancement (BTE) effort would improve the system’s overall ability to monitor, collect, identify, characterize and/or survey biothreat agents of public health concern in designated jurisdictions in the U.S. DHS expects to issue a notice in late winter or early spring of 2017 to invite industry to participate in a technology demonstration that will begin by early summer 2017. DHS is seeking to evaluate only mature technologies—Technology Readiness Level-6 or greater—in an operational or relevant operational environment against select technical parameters. DHS SVO Issues Call for Financial Services Cyber Security Active Defense

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a call against its Silicon Valley Innovation Program five-year Innovation Other Transaction Solicitation for financial services cyber security active defense. The DHS Science and Technology Directorate Cyber Security Division Next Generation Cyber Infrastructure Apex Program must rapidly identify and develop technologies to counter emerging cyber threats that impact critical infrastructure, protecting the nation’s financial services sector against cyber threats. The program addresses these challenges by providing the financial services sector with the technologies and tools to confront advanced adversaries when they attack U.S. cyber systems and networks. The program concentrates on identifying capabilities prioritized by the financial sector. CBP Market Survey for MSC Component Spares and Repair

The Federal Aviation Administration, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), has is surveying the market for Mobile Surveillance Capability (MSC) component spares and repair. The survey will also determine whether adequate competition exits to set aside the potential acquisition for small businesses. The work to be done is for repair, services, studies and training for 54 FLIR proprietary line replaceable units mounted on the CBP MSC skid.
