The State Department has issued a Sources Sought Notice to identify small businesses that can provide cyber security support to the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Cyber and Technology Security Directorate. The State Department’s information technology infrastructure encompasses about 400 domestic and overseas facilities, classified and sensitive IT assets operating on enterprise, mobile, and cloud platforms. DHS Center has Funding Opportunity for Border, Trade and Immigration Research
The Borders, Trade, and Immigration (BTI) Institute, a Center of Excellence overseen by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, is offering a funding opportunity for research. The opportunity, the third by the BTI since its founding in June 2015, will provide up to $350,000 over two years for each selected proposal. JPEO Chem/Bio Defense Seeks Sources for Joint Personal Dosimeter
The Army Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) for Chemical and Biological Defense, Joint Project Leader for Radiological and Nuclear Defense has issued a Sources Sought notice for a Joint Personal Dosimeter-Individual that will allow the determination and recording of the absorbed dose an individual service member receives from exposure to ionizing radiation, allowing the Radiation Safety Officer to mitigate risks to enable mission accomplishment. The dosimeter will be able to transfer data through Near Field Communication and will be able to calculate the absorbed dose. Ultimately, this information will be sent to the Army Dosimetry Center. CBP Seeks Information on Relocatable Surveillance System-Maritime
The Federal Aviation Administration, on behalf of Customs and Borer Protection (CBP), has issued a pre-solicitation notice for a land-based relocatable surveillance system-maritime for the California Coastal Region. Congress in the FY ’16 Homeland Security Appropriations Act directed that CBP address the priority of improving maritime domain awareness in the west coastal area, which is characterized by rugged terrain and a long coast line. CBP’s adversaries are taking lengthy sea routes and extending their landings to more northern coastline locations to avoid interdiction. The Border Patrol has requested a technology demonstration to explore and evaluate more agile surveillance technologies that can easily be relocated to adapt to a shifting threat.
