Coast Guard Plans Service Life Extension of 47 Motor Life Boat
The Coast Guard has issued a Request for Proposal for a service life extension program for hits 47-foot MotorLiveBoat. The 47-foot MLB is the service’s primary multi-mission capable boat that operates in surf and heavy weather conditions. The fleet of 117 MLBs are approaching the end of their original 25-year service life and the Coast Guard wants to extend their useful life by 20 years. The service want to enhance human system integration and refresh technology of obsolete equipment. A singe contract is proposed. DHS Issues Small Business Research Pre-Solicitation
The Department of Homeland Security has released a pre-solicitation for the fiscal year 2019 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The SBIR program is comprised of the Science and Technology Directorates SBIR program and the Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction Office’s SBIR program. Some of the research topics include reach-back capability for fielded Rapid DNA Systems, on body power module for first responders, synthetic training data for explosive detection machine learning algorithm, detector integration with current and emerging networked systems, and unmanned aerial system autonomous search of limited areas for radiological threats. GSA issues RFI for Technology Services for DMARC Services
The General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Technology Transformation Service (TTS) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for market research to finalize requirements and the acquisition strategy for implementing Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) related services. In 2017 the Department of Homeland Security issued a Binding Operational Directive requiring all federal agency domains implement DMARC policies by Oct. 2018 to improve email security. Sol. DHS Issues RFI for BioWatch Sample Lab Info Management System
The Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to determine whether there are mature or developing technologies from commercial or interagency services that can provide a comprehensive, cost-effective solution to BioWatch’s current laboratory information management systems. The desired sample tracking platform will provide the capability to support the laboratories in the BioWatch network to track individual samples, track the reagents associated with the analysis of the sample, trace the data obtained, input this information into a comprehensive database, and report results in a verifiable manner. The ultimate goal of the BioWatch Simplified Laboratory Management System is to collect, compile, transmit, and allow queries of sample information from throughout the BioWatch user community. DHS S&T Seeks Blockchain Solutions
The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate through its Silicon Valley Innovation Program has issued a solicitation seeking innovative solutions from startups to enhance anti-forger and counterfeiting capabilities for digital documentation. Under the “Preventing Forgery and Counterfeiting of Certificates and Licenses,” solicitation, S&T seeks solutions that use Blockchain and distributive ledger technology to issue digital documentation in a way that prevents fraud, counterfeiting and forgery. The solicitation was released in partnership with Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Transportation Security Administration. This is the first Silicon Valley Innovation Program solicitation supporting USCIS use cases. The solicitation is open under the Innovation Other Transaction Solicitation HSHQDC-16-R-B0005.
