TSA Soliciting for Medium Speed EDS
The Transportation Security Administration has released a solicitation to procure medium-speed explosive detection systems (MSEDS) and related items and support over a potential eight-year period. The planned award has a base year and seven one-year options. TSA says it plans to acquire up to 23 MSEDS for installation at 10 airports in the U.S. and its territories. Currently, Leidos [LDOS] and
Smiths Detection provide TSA with MSEDS. Notice ID: 70T04021Q7672N003. Respond by July 30. Contact: Shannon Welch, [email protected].
NASA Seeks UAS Detection System for Stennis Space Center
NASA has issued a solicitation for an unmanned aircraft detection (UAS) passive detection system that detects and tracks the movements of small UAS, pilot/ground control station in real-time and use geo-fence at its Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The requirement is a small business set-aside. NASA is seeking a simple solution to detect unauthorized UAS through radio frequency technology and or radar technology, provide a map overlay for Stennis security to respond, whitelist or not track NASA owned UAS as required, work in bad weather, and provide a website that can be logged in and viewed through both a computer and mobile device to display an interactive map of real-time locations, reports that show history of flights, and system status.
