DHS S&T Issues RFI for Mobile Biometric/Biographic Collection Device
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, Resilient Systems Division, has issued a Request for Information for a Mobile Electronic Biometric/Biographic Collection Device. The device must be capable of communicating through a virtual private network and should be tough, rugged and durable enough to function reliably in various outdoor conditions that DHS end users face every day. The device may be fully integrated or comprised of compatible component parts. IARPA Plans Proposers’ Day for Face Recognition Program
The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) plans to host a Proposers’ Day conference in Washington, D.C., for the JANUS program on June 13 in anticipation of the release of a new solicitation in support of the face recognition program. The conference will address information on the program and the research problems that the program aims to address as well as address questions from potential proposers and give them a forum to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities. The JANUS program aims to dramatically improve the current performance of face recognition tools by fusing rich spatial, temporal, and contextual information available from the multiple views captured by today’s “media in the wild.” Sol. DHS S&T Seeks Explosives and Equipment Characterization Support
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate, Explosives Division, has issued a Request for Information for explosives and equipment characterization support services. Army Issues Sources Sought Notice for Joint Bio Tactical Detection System
The Army Contracting Command, in support of the Joint Project Manager for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Contamination Avoidance, has issued a Sources Sought Notice seeking commercial entities with the capability to develop and produce systems for the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS), Biological Warfare Agent (BWA) detection, collection, and identification hardware and software, and the development and delivery of engineering data and logistics products. DHS Urban Security Tech Lab Seeks Info on Live Scan Fingerprint Systems
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Urban Security Technology Laboratory, as part of the System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders program, is seeking information on commercially available live scan fingerprint systems suitable for law enforcement agencies transitioning from paper and ink to electronic fingerprint acquisition.
