DHS Plans Small Business Outreach Sessions
The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will host a Vendor Outreach Session on June 19 in Washington, DC. The sessions are a series of pre-arranged 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from various components of the DHS procurement offices. The sessions allow the businesses to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. DTRA Seeks Support for Functional Defeat of WMD Services
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has issued a Request for Information to identify qualified and interested contractors capable of providing the Functional Defeat of Weapons of Mass Destruction services in support of the agency’s Weapons and Capabilities Office. DTRA wants a contractor with the capability to develop innovative weapons technology solutions for the Counter WMD problem including sub-scale and full-scale testing. The contractor must have the capability to provide scientific, engineering and other technical services, as well as the test facilities and test planning, required to accomplish this task at classification levels up to and including Top Secret. Navy Surveys Video Management Software for DHS SAVER Program
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has issued a Request for Information for video management software used by law enforcement for video surveillance monitoring. The review of the information is being performed for the Department of Homeland Security System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial equipment and systems and provide those results to the emergency responder community. Coast Guard Releases Draft RFP for New FRC Competition
Seeking to inject new competition into a shipbuilding program that is nearly half complete, the Coast Guard has released a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) to purchase up to 26 Fast Response Cutters (FRC) to fulfill the requirement for 58 of the patrol boats. The Coast Guard so far has ordered 24 FRCs from current prime contractor Bollinger Shipyards, which received a potential $1.5 billion to construct and deliver up to 36 of the 154-foot vessels. Sol.
