Navy to Evaluate RIIDs
The Naval Surface Warfare Center says it plans to award a contract to provide three state-of-the-art portable Radioisotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) from three different vendors for test and evaluation. The Navy says it needs reliable radiation monitoring, identification and search instruments to ensure the radiological safety of its personnel. CBP Issues RFI for Light Enforcement Helos
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for commercially available single-engine light helicopters that can be configured to meet most of the agency’s desired capabilities, including a 20-year aircraft life expectancy. The aircraft must be able to accommodate at least four personnel. DHS S&T Issues RFI for Threat Detection Technology Test and Support
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) branch has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking team capability statements for performing test and evaluation on equipment relevant to aviation security, specifically checked baggage and checkpoint screening systems. DHS Issues Draft RFP for Continued Management of NBACC
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the continued management and operations of the National Biodefense Analysis Countermeasures Center, which is a federally-funded research and development center located at Fort Detrick, Md. Senate Seeks Cyber Security Services
The Senate’s Office of the Sergeant at Arms is conducting a market survey of potential qualified industry sources capable of providing cyber security infrastructure support services to the Senate. The Senate is considering two options for procuring cyber security support services: the first is to acquire the services using the current approach which employs a contractor to manage and operate the Senate’s Security Operations Centers using Senate furnished equipment and cyber security systems together with Senate personnel; and procuring some of the cyber security support services using the current approach in part while obtaining other services through a managed security service offering.
