DHS Cyber Office Issues RFI for Enterprise Automated Security Environment
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Cybersecurity and Communications has issued a Request for Information (RFI) related to the concept of an Enterprise Automated Security Environment (EASE), which envisions an environment in which automated and dynamic enterprise-level cyberspace defense capabilities such as adaptive sensing, sense-making, decision-making, and acting, provide shared situational awareness and support response in cyber relevant time. The concept aims to enable the government to improve its own cyberspace defense capabilities, benefiting from the enhanced interoperability and automation that EASE should create. Ultimately, DHS says, for EASE to become reality will require the combined efforts of government, private sector, academia and other stakeholders. Sol. No. RFI201411. Respond by Feb. 3, 2015.
