CBP Plans RFP for $293M Medium Energy Mobile Scanner Acquisition
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming procurement of medium-energy mobile scanners worth a potential $293 million. The agency plans to award multiple contracts for the five-year ordering period, which is expected to be from Sept. 1, 2015 through Aug. 31, 2020. DARPA Issues RFI for Cyberspace Ops R&D
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Innovation Office has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on potential performers for classified cyberspace operations research and development (R&D). FBI Seeks Sources for Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform Concept
The FBI National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force is seeking information regarding software with the ability to perform as a Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), which would provide indicator/knowledge management of cyber threats. The TIP should have the ability to aggregate data from multiple sources, both public and private, automatically extract observables from those sources and then enrich the extracted data with third party data sets. The platform should provide the functionality to establish signatures base on observables and then retain the original context of the signature, and provide the functionality for analysts to exploit the data which was ingested by providing a robust search/filter capability. TSA Issues RFI for Air Cargo Screening Qualification Test
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to announce a redesigned Air Cargo Screening Qualification Test process for original equipment manufacturers that wish to qualify their screening technology for use by regulated parties prior to conveying cargo aboard commercial passenger aircraft. The agency will host an Industry Day on Sept. 26 to discuss the redesigned process. Army to Host Cyberspace Industry and Innovation Day
Army stakeholders in cyber security will hold an Industry and Innovation Day on May 28 at MITRE in Northern Virginia to discuss their requirements for cyberspace, including offense, defensive, and the DoD Information Network. The Naval Air Systems Command Cyber Warfare Detachment has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) soliciting technical/cost proposals for research support in technologies applicable to Resilient Cyber Warfare Capabilities for NAVAIR Weapon Systems. The CWD develops and assesses cyber warfare capabilities for mission assurance and to defend NAVAIR weapon systems and directly corresponding support systems.
