CACI International Inc [CACI] recently announced its Integrated Solutions Group (ISG), which comprises all of CACI’s U.S. operations, successfully completed an extensive Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMIr) Appraisal, formally referred to as a Standard CMMIr Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI(tm)) Class A Appraisal.
This exhaustive process was conducted to benchmark and demonstrate compliance to the industry recognized Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI’s) CMMIr Model framework for delivery of software and systems engineering products and services.
Established by the Software Engineering Institute, CMMIr is a standard used by the Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian sectors of the federal government to evaluate the ability of prospective contractors to perform on systems and software engineering projects.
As a result of the appraisal, CACI’s U.S. operations are now rated at CMMIr Maturity Level 3. This is a much sought after set of credentials that recognizes an organization’s systems and software engineering practices. CACI’s CMMIr Maturity Level 3 rating provides assurance to its customers and prospective customers that CACI’s systems engineering, integration, and software projects will be completed with high levels of quality, on time, and within budget.
CACI’s enterprise-wide achievement demonstrates the company’s continuation of quality focus and process improvement benchmarking legacy through formal external appraisals. The rating reinforces the company’s quality mandate in all facets of services and solutions and enhances its competitive positioning as a leading supplier of highly engineered, complex systems and technical services. The rating helps advance CACI’s vision of providing highest quality products and services and becoming a Tier 1 contractor of choice, aligning business models and processes with larger contracts.
According to Bill Fairl, CACI’s president of U.S. Operations, “We are very pleased to have achieved this significant milestone of CMMIr Maturity Level 3 rating, as this accomplishment demonstrates a high level of process focus and increased customer alignment for the products and services we deliver. The successful appraisal validates our concentration on continuous process improvement, dating back to the mid 1990’s when CACI was first appraised under the former Capability Maturity Model (CMMr).”
CACI President and CEO Paul Cofoni said, “This achievement clearly highlights the company-wide culture of continuous improvement, leveraging demonstrated standards-based best practices to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. It is also a tribute to the exceptional talent and dedication of CACI’s software engineering professionals who are committed to delivering quality products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations.”
