CACI International [CACI] yesterday said it has agreed to acquire Advanced Programs Group, LLC (APG), a small firm specializing in Oracle [ORCL] information technology services and information security for federal clients.
Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by Oct. 1, were not disclosed.
APG, which is based in Northern Virginia, manages the life-cycle of an Oracle business suite application implementation, and also provides information security services, information technology program management, and enterprise architecture services. The company added its information security practice in 2009 and in support of this has created an information security test lab in its corporate office to support the certification and accreditation requirements of its information assurance team.
“Our acquisition of Advanced Programs Group makes CACI one of the largest federal Oracle providers and the only Federal Shared Service Provider in both the financial and contract lifecycle management business areas,” Paul Cofoni, president and CEO of CACI, said in a statement. “APG’s leading Oracle application experience and diversified client base will help us continue to expand our business system solutions and government transformation offerings and services in the federal sector.”
APG’s customers include the Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, the Interior Department’s National Business Center, and the intelligence community.
APG had $41.9 million in sales in 2010 and CACI expects the acquisition to be accretive to its earnings during the first year. The company has 110 employees.
