CBP Awards Motorola $30M for Radios

Motorola [MOT] has received a $30 million contract from Customs and Border Protection (CBP to provide its Astro 25 land mobile radio P25 communications upgrades for border security operations on the northern border. The radios will provide border agents, checkpoint officers and agency aircraft with secure voice and data communications connectivity along 1,200 miles of continuous U.S. border and more than 20,000 square miles of operating area.
