CloudLock, a cloud cybersecurity platform, joined the VMware [VMW] Mobile Security Alliance, which partners companies to mitigate mobile threats by providing advanced security solutions that integrate with VMware’s AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management Platform, CloudLock said Tuesday.
Under the partnership, CloudLock’s Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and cybersecurity platform will integrate with VMware’s the AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management system and the company’s Identity Manager. This will “provide customers with extensive visibility into user behavior and complement AirWatch’s powerful controls through automated risk-based policy enforcement,” CloudLock said in a statement.
“We’re very excited to announce the expansion of our initial collaboration with VMware on EMM and identity, enabling mutual customers to benefit from end-to-end security visibility across their cloud and mobile infrastructure,” Manolo Gonzalez, CloudLock vice president for platform and technology alliances, said in a statement.
“Through the combination of our technologies — VMware AirWatch, VMware Identity Manager and CloudLock’s CASB and cybersecurity platform –we enable unified remediation of risks with zero impact on users and without requiring agents,” Gonzalez added.
The new integration between the companies is expected to deliver four main benefits including Privileged User Monitoring: CloudLock notifies AirWatch of suspicious privileged user behavior to enable device level reporting; End-User Activity Intelligence: CloudLock provides AirWatch with insight into users that have access to sensitive data and risky cloud applications, are exposed to malware, and/or exhibit suspicious behavior; Aggregated Device Posture and Cloud Activity Insight: the integration combines CloudLock’s and AirWatch’s intelligence, aggregating device posture and user cloud activity; and Automated Cross-Platform CASB + EMM Remediation: organizations gain targeted, automatic, and escalating remediation options.
