The Coast Guard’s Research and Development Center (RDC) has issued a Request for Information as part of a market research effort to assess industry capabilities to meet its needs for a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contract. The five-year contract would be worth around $50 million. The Coast Guard wants information on companies that have the capability to augment the capacity, acquisition experience and technological expertise of the RDC in their role as advisor and consultant to the Coast Guard’s new acquisition directorate. Due to expected concerns companies will have over the close confidential relationship between the RDC and the eventual SETA contractor that might cause those companies to be reluctant in pursuing future work with the RDC, the SETA contractor, its parent, affiliates or subsidiaries will be prohibited from participating in any Coast Guard major and non-major systems acquisitions. Sol. No. HSCG32-08-I-R00004. Sol. Due Nov. 25. Contact: Helen Nelson, procurement assistant, 860-441-2843, [email protected].
