The Coast Guard has issued a Request for Information on the state of the market for large and medium cutter-boat designs that would operated from parent craft. The Cutter Boat Over-the-Horizon Project designs can either be in operation or not and can meet Coast Guard requirements with or without significant development. The cutter boats’ missions will generally occur in both littoral and deep water and perform the following missions: Ports, Waterways and Coastal Security; Search and Rescue; Drug Interdiction; Alien Migrant Interdiction Operations; Living Marine Resources; Defense Readiness; and Other Law Enforcement.
