Coast Guard Selects Metal Shark and Safe Boats for RB-S Competition

The Coast Guard has down selected two small firms, Metal Shark Aluminum Boats and Safe Boats International, to compete to provide it with up to 470 Response Boat-Small (RB-S) craft. Under the two phase evaluation process, the first phase consisted of an evaluation of written proposals, which resulted in the selection of Metal Shark and Safe Boats. In the second phase, both firms have been awarded fixed-price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts requiring them to build at least one boat…
