CBP Awards Leidos $66M for Mobile Inspection Systems
Leidos [LDOS] has received a potential $66 million contract from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to supply 22 VACIS M6500 mobile cargo and vehicle scanners for non-intrusive inspection of trailer trucks, pallets, trailer-mounted cargo containers and other vehicles for contraband such as illicit drugs, terrorist weapons and currency. The order has a 30-month base period and an option period of up to 10 years of maintenance from the acceptance of the final unit. “The VACIS M6500 scanners and support we offer will enable CBP field officers to accurately identify dangerous materials while continuing to support the efficient flow of legal goods and people across U.S. borders,” says Scott Gray, senior vice president of Homeland Security Solutions at Leidos.
DHS Awards CSRA $52M for Cyber Infrastructure
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded CSRA Inc. [CSRA] a single-award re-compete contract worth over $52 million over four years to provide a range of technical cyber services. CSRA will provide technical and programmatic professional support to DHS’s Office of Cybersecurity and Communication (CS&C) to enhance the security, resilience, and reliability of the U.S. cyber and communications infrastructure, the company said. It will also assist in developing new cybersecurity strategies and policies to help mitigate the risk of cyber incidents. “As one of DHS’s leading IT services providers, we are leveraging the expertise of our outstanding teams who have gained critical insight and experience over the last several years in supporting this challenging mission. We look forward to introducing new guidelines and solutions to further strengthen our customer’s cybersecurity posture,” Sally Sullivan, CSRA executive vice president at the company’s Homeland Security Group, said in a statement.
NCI Wins $43M Order to Provide USCIS with IT Support
NCI, Inc. [NCIT] has received a potential 18-month $43 million task order to provide U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to supply agile/Dev Ops teams to collaborate with other contractors using agile and lean processes such as Scrum. The Flexible Agile Development Services II task order was awarded under the Department of Homeland Security EAGLE II contract. The order has a six-month base period and two six-month options.
KBR’s Wyle Nabs $39M CBP Award for Border Security Support
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has awarded a $39 million bridge contract to KBR, Inc. [KBR] to continue providing tactical aerostat and relocatable tower (TAS) systems operations, logistics and engineering support services. The award has a one-year base period, two six-month options, and six-month option to extend services. CBP is in the process of completing a competitive acquisition to award the long-term contract for similar services. The award was made to KBR’s Wyle business unit, which it acquired over the summer. There are currently 19 operational sites along the U.S. and Mexico border with sites consisting of an aerostat and/or relocatable tower system providing around-the-clock day/night full motion video, ground moving target indicator tracks, and communication relay services to on and offsite Border Patrol agents. The aerostat and tower support services were initially provided by the Army and Navy through interagency agreements. The bridge contract was awarded last month.
