GSA Awards CGI $102M for Credential Management under DHS CDM Program

CGI [GIB] has received a two-year $102 million task order from the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide credential management services under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. The award was made under CDM Phase 2, which is the Least Privilege and Infrastructure Integrity portion of the program, and will enable CGI to provide identity management services for 26 fe3deral agencies. The company will provide participating agencies with tools, sensors and services to implement elements of credential management, and will help agencies comply with the White House’s Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation Plan that requires strong authentication for network accounts of unprivileged users. The award is CGI’s second under CDM, following a consulting contract by the Government Accountability Office last September. The company says recent awards demonstrate ongoing momentum behind its cyber security, identity management and other digital solutions for federal customers.

TSA Extends Reduced Size EDS Contracts with L3, Leidos

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has extended existing indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts it has with L3 Technologies [LLL] and Leidos [LDOS] to purchase Reduced Size Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) and related equipment. The extensions don’t increase the value of the existing contracts, none of which have reached their award ceilings. So far under its existing contract that was awarded in Jan. 2012, Leidos has received $50.6 million of a potential $110.2 million. The extension runs through Sept. 2017. Under its contract that was awarded in Jan. 2012, L3 has received $4.1 million of a potential $149.4 million. L3’s extension runs through Sept. 2017. TSA is in the process of establishing new engineering service contracts to support all of its deployed Transportation Security Equipment nationwide with awards expected during the second quarter of FY ’17. The agency also expects to award new Reduced Size EDS purchase and installation contracts during the fourth quarter of FY ’17.  

DHS Awards KR Contracting $37M to Provide Armed Guards

KR Contracting, Inc. has received a potential five-year $37.1 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to provide armed protective officer services at various locations in Arlington and Alexandria, Va. The Maryland-based company is responsible for all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, pre-employment screenings, reports and licenses necessary to fulfill the requirement.

Showcall Security Receives $9M Contract for Perimeter Asset Support of Inauguration

The Secret Service awarded Showcall Security Services, LLC has received a $9.1 million to provide perimeter asset support for the 2017 presidential inauguration.  Details of the contract requirements were not released.

Magal Nabs $6M in Security Contracts

Israel’s Magal Security Systems has received two contracts valued at more than $5.5 million to provide integrated security systems to customers in Africa and Latin America. For one project, the company will upgrade and support integrated security systems for the 2017 African Cup of Nations Games. Magal originally provided the current systems to the games committee for the 2012 games. Magal also received a contract to supply and install an integrated security system that will be distributed at several critical sits in Latin America. The project will be delivered throughout 2017.
