CBP Awards Boeing Small Contract for Security Integration on Northern Border

Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Technology Innovation and Acquisition, has awarded Boeing [BA] a $571,545 contract for network and security management services for border surveillance systems being deployed as part of the Maritime Detection Project (MDP) and Maritime Surveillance Radar (MSR) systems on the Northern Border. Under the MDP effort, the Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Center is adding three surveillance tower sites in the Buffalo Sector. Under the MSF effort, the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate will deploy two maritime radars at the north and south ends of Lake St. Clair in the Detroit Sector. Boeing will integrate a government off the shelf command and control system, MDP and MSR sensor components and the tower components into the Block I Network Operations Center/Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC) system-monitoring umbrella. Boeing maintains proprietary rights to the work performed for the NOC/SOC. The MDP and MSR are extensions of the Remote Video Surveillance System on the Northern Border.

Mythics Awarded BPA by DHS for Oracle Products

Mythics, Inc., a systems integrator of Oracle’s software products, has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the Department of Homeland Security for Oracle products and services. The contract provides access to Oracle products for all DHS components. The BPA is designed to decrease costs, reduce paperwork and increase service levels.

Navy Awards FLIR $50M for Patrol Boat E-O System

The Navy has awarded FLIR Systems [FLIR] a potential $49.9 million contract to support the Patrol Boat Electro-Optics System program for the Coast Guard and Navy. The contract is for a variant of FLIR’s recently introduced SeaFLIR 280-HD maritime electro-optical/infrared imaging system, which provides enhanced navigation, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. “Winning this contract proves the benefits of our commercially developed, military qualified model to our customers,” says Andy Teich, president and CEO of FLIR.
