Air Canada Deploys Morpho’s Itemiser DX for Air Cargo Screening
Morpho says its Morpho Detection subsidiary has deployed its Itemiser DX desktop explosives trace detectors at Air Canada cargo locations to screen air cargo under mandates set by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. “Morpho Detection has helped us upgrade our screening capabilities and maintain TSA compliance in an efficient way and with no impact to our operations,” says Barb Johnson, senior associate, Regulatory Affairs at Air Canada. Implant Sciences Reports More than $2.3M in ETD Sales
Implant Sciences [IMSC] says it has received multiple orders for its handheld and desktop explosive trace detection (ETD) systems valued at more than $2.3 million. The company says it has won an order worth $1.5 million for its QS-H150 Quantum Sniffer handheld system from an undisclosed customer in Latin America. Implant says the first $1 million of the order will be delivered during fiscal year 2014. Separately, the company has received more than $800,000 in orders for its QS-H150 and QS-B220 desktop ETDs from multiple customers worldwide, for used in critical infrastructure protection, air cargo screening, passenger and baggage screening, and customs. The systems will be deployed in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. On top of these sales, Implant says it has sold 21 ETDs, including 11 QS-B220s, for critical infrastructure protection in Asia.
Booz Allen Hamilton Awarded $400K to Continue Support for Cyber Storm
The Department of Homeland Security has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] a two-month, $399,742 extension to an existing task order for continued support to the National Cyber Exercise, also called Cyber Storm. The task order and extension were made under the EAGLE contract.
