Alabama Shipyard LLC,* Mobile, Alabama, is awarded a $21,955,104‬ firm-fixed-price contract (N3220523C2143) for a 123-calendar day shipyard availability for the regular overhaul and dry docking of the Military Sealift Command’s dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2). This contract includes a base period and options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $22,163,078‬. Work will be performed in Mobile, Alabama, beginning June 15, 2023, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 15, 2023. Working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $21,955,104 are obligated for fiscal 2023 and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was a small business set-aside with proposals solicited via the SAM.gov website and three offers received. Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc., Sacramento, California, is awarded a $9,156,552 modification to a previously awarded, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This modification adds scope to provide non-recurring engineering, integration, and installation of a sensor payload, as well as provides for associated labor and material for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) mission systems and subsystems integration. Additionally, this modification adds scope to provide for the development and testing of autonomy and pilot vehicle interfaces, UAS ground and flight operations, as well as flight test events for the Navy. Work will be performed in Sacramento, California, and is expected to be completed in September 2023. Fiscal 2022 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $8,572,892 will be obligated at the time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
