Busek Co. Inc., Space Propulsion and Systems, Natick, Massachusetts, was awarded a $14,308,163 firm-fixed-price contract for Advanced Spacecraft Energetic Non-Toxic (ASCENT) Hall Thruster System Development. This contract provides for personnel and testing for proto-flight Hall-Effect Thruster using ASCENT propellant. Work will be performed at Natick, Massachusetts, with minor testing at Edwards Air Force Base, California, and is expected to be completed by March 28, 2027. This contract was a competitive acquisition and one offer was received. Fiscal 2022 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $6,677,071 are being obligated at time of award.
