Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., San Diego, California, has been awarded a $79,275,834 add work modification (P00004) to previously awarded contract FA8650-23-C-9313 for Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet. This contract seeks to establish the ability to communicate with military platforms via multiple commercial space internet constellations in various orbital regimes using common user terminal and hardware elements. This additional work modification seeks to expand the number and types of satellite constellations with which the terminals can communicate and will include waveforms capable of communication through military as well as commercial satellites. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $169,455,627. Work will be performed at San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed Feb. 25, 2027. Fiscal 2024 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $15,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award.
