OraSure Technologies Inc., Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was awarded a $109,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the increased domestic manufacturing capability of rapid antigen self-tests for home care testing. This contract provides for the retrofit of a production facility and a new additional facility with machinery to increase domestic COVID-19 rapid test production capacity. Work will be performed in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2024. This award is the result of a COVID-19 Joint Acquisition Task Force Commercial Solution Opening. Fiscal 2021 American Rescue Plan Act, Department of Health and Human Services other funds in the amount of $109,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. There is known congressional interest in this action. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (FA8730-21-S-C001).
