CPI Aerostructures, Inc. [CVU] is continuing its partnership with Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] Sikorsky aircraft manufacturer with a new five-year supply agreement worth approximately $21 million to provide fuel panel assemblies for the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter.
Under the contract, which was announced on July 17, CPI Aero will handle all manufacturing duties for the UH-60M’s fuel panels, including purchasing and managing the supply chain for all parts and system components. CPI Aero has worked with Sikorsky on its Black Hawk helicopter since 2010, and has delivered over 900 units for the production of the UH-60M.
“The fuel panel assembly is a key product within our aerosystems segment and is an excellent example of our capabilities outside of our traditional aerostructures market,” CPI Aero President and CEO Douglas J. McCrosson said in a statement. “The Black Hawk helicopter has been one of the most important aircraft systems to CPI Aero for the past 10 years, and it is gratifying that it will continue to be so for at least the next five years.”
Components CPI Aero will deliver to Sikorsky for the Black Hawk helicopter include fuel valves, flexible hosing and tubing.
