Cubic Corp. [CUB] yesterday said it has acquired Safe Harbor Holdings, Inc., a small supplier of customized hardware and software for cyber solutions.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This acquisition launches Cubic’s participation in the cyber security market and enhances our network security credentials in the intelligence community,” Jeff Snyder, vice president of Cyber Solutions for Cubic Defense Applications, said in a statement. “Safe Harbor’s innovative solutions, important customer relationships, and outstanding professional staff will form the nucleus of our cyber delivery capability in the Washington, D.C. area.”
Safe Harbor has capabilities in systems design, cross-domain product development and deployment, enterprise network architecture and engineering, access controls, and cross- domain framework solutions comprised of multi-level controlled interfaces. The Northern Virginia-based firm serves intelligence and defense customers and has about 30 employees.
The acquisition follows one last month by Cubic of Impeva Labs, which supplies asset tracking solutions (Defense Daily, May 20).
