Curtiss-Wright [CW] this week said it has acquired Nu-Torque, a designer and manufacturer of valves for Navy ships, adding to its customer base in the Navy.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Nu-Torque, which had been a business unit within Tyco International‘s [TYC] Flow Control division, has about $8 million in annual sales. Nu-Torque will become part of Curtiss-Wright’s Flow Control segment.
“The acquisition of Nu-Torque is a significant addition to our existing portfolio of highly engineered valves, controls and actuators,” Martin Benante, Curtiss-Wright’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “Nu-Torque also provides the opportunity to expand our presence in the U.S. Navy market, strengthens our system integration capability and enhances the expansion into international niche markets.”
